Are you going to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party? Here is your need-to-know Halloween at Disney!
What a Ghoul night! 👻
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party was a hit! Definitely in my top 3 theme park events. Here are some of my thoughts and tips.
1. Entertainment
This evening is packed with must-see entertainment. The parade, the Hocus Pocus show, the fireworks. Make a plan to catch each one!
🧙🏼♀️ There are several times scheduled for the Hocus Pocus show and the parade comes down twice but the fireworks are only once and I highly suggest you stay close up to the castle!
Hocus Pocus Villian Spelltacular
September: 8:35 pm, 10:45 pm, 12 am
October: 7:40 pm, 8:35 pm, 10:45 pm, 12am
Mickey’s Boo-to-You Parade (starts in Frontierland and ends down at the Train Station at the front of the park)
9:15 pm and 11:15 pm
Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Fireworks Show at Cinderella’s Castle
10:15 pm
2. Meet and Greets
The characters are the best! You can meet the characters starting at 7 pm. Jack and Sally are upfront by the train station in the Town Square Theater as well as Mickey in his Halloween costume.
🎃 Jack and Sally have the longest line. (almost 2 hours!) I saw people lining up prior to the party starting so if this is a must for you, I suggest you start there before the party starts at 7 pm.
Jack and Sally: Characters begin meeting at 4:30 pm (can line up as early as 4 pm)
Pooh & Friends: begin meeting around 6:30 pm
Minnie, Donald, and Daisy: begin meeting around 6:30 pm but I suggest waiting till the end of the night as the wait will be significantly less!
Elvis/Rock ‘n’ Roll Stitch: begins meeting around 6:30 pm
3. Food
Definitely try some of the specialty food only sold during the event! My top 3 are
- Un Poco Loco Tots ($11.49): The Friar’s Nook
- Spellbinding Fried Pie ($9.99): Golden Oak Outpost
- Sweet Almond Corn Cake ($5.79): Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Café
4. Attractions
Don’t skip the Haunted Mansion. A ghost comes out to talk and she is so funny. And the way that the haunted mansion is lit up with the fog is so perfect. Here are some other attraction overlays:
🚀 The overlay for Space Mountain is my absolute favorite and is so epic! It’s pitch black and plays Halloween music throughout your ride in deep space. Don’t skip that ride!
🏴☠️ Pirates of the Caribbean also overlays with projections outside and live actors inside the queue and ride.
☕ Mad Tea Party does Halloween lighting and music as you spin around.
5. Be Realistic
Realistically, you won’t have enough time to do everything you want. Pick your top 3-5 things you want to make sure you see and do and get those out of the way first. That way you’ll be happy no matter what. I do wish this party was just one hour longer, then it would be perfect.
I grabbed this photo right as the park was clearing. They close it really fast since it’s so late so grab your photos fast!
These are your need-to-know Halloween at Disney tips! Are you going to this event? Who’s ready for Halloween?! 🎃👻💀
