You’re in the Twilight Zone. Tower of Terror Thursday ⚡️
Last week, @misswizardingworld (Instagram) and I had an awesome opportunity to go behind the rope and shoot photos of the Hollywood Tower Hotel lobby.
If you aren’t familiar with the story, on October 31, 1939, lightning struck the Hollywood Tower Hotel, and an elevator carrying five guests mysteriously vanished, along with a large portion of the hotel itself.
This spooky lobby gives me the Halloween feels. Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is only 15 days away now so I’m definitely ready for spooky vibes! 🙌🏼👻
This photo shoot was definitely a core memory for me. I had to cool the shot down a lot but I wanted to warm it just slightly back up to keep the orange tones alive in the wood and floor. I brushed cooler temps back into the lamp and side table though cause I felt like it made it creepier.
Big thanks to Megan for suggesting the black vignetting. I usually stay away from doing that to my photos so when I knew I was missing some element for this edit, she nailed down exactly what it needed.
